Welcome to Ysgubor-Geufron, where rustic charm meets modern comfort in the heart of Eryri National Park. This beautifully converted barn offers breathtaking countryside views, a cosy interior, and even the chance to meet alpacas!
Step inside, and you're greeted by exposed beams, warm wooden accents, and a stylish open-plan living space. The lounge area is perfect for unwinding, with plush seating and a Smart TV mounted above a characterful fireplace. The kitchen-diner is well-equipped for home-cooked meals, complete with modern appliances, a farmhouse dining table, and a touch of rustic charm.
Upstairs, you'll find two lovingly designed bedrooms. Tucked beneath exposed beams, the bedroom offers a cosy retreat with a king-size bed. while the twin bedroom, with two full-size UK single beds, is ideal for families or friends. The bathroom features a walk-in electric shower, a sink, and a vanity mirror, ensuring a refreshing start to your day.
Outside, the raised decking area is the perfect spot to soak up the stunning rural views with a morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. The picnic bench and BBQ stand (for disposable BBQs) mean alfresco dining is a must. The garden is mostly laid to lawn—a great space for relaxing, though slightly uneven in places.
And for our eco-conscious travellers, a 7kW+ EV charger is available to keep your adventures going smoothly.
Nestled within the scenic Geufron Farm, Ysgubor-Geufron offers more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience. One of the highlights? The resident alpacas! Guests are invited to meet these gentle creatures, making for a truly unique stay.
For dog owners, it’s a dream destination. Your four-legged friends have unlimited access to the farm’s dog play field, shared with other guests. There are also fantastic walking trails straight from the doorstep, leading into the heart of Eryri’s breathtaking landscapes. Plus, the local pub is less than a mile away—and yes, it’s dog-friendly!
Beyond the farm, the surrounding area is packed with things to see and do. The Talyllyn Steam Railway is a short drive away, offering nostalgic journeys through spectacular scenery. From Dolgellau:
Head south on the A470/A487 from Dolgellau – Leave Dolgellau heading towards Machynlleth on the A487. Stay on the A487 for approximately 7 miles. Turn right onto B4405. Continue on the B4405 for approximately 9 miles.
A few hundred yards after Woodlands Caravan Park you will see the sign for Geufron Farm on your right, head up the private drive for about ¼ mile passing The Cowshed and The Granary along the way. Continue to the large turning area in front of the long-legged barn. Your designated parking spaces are marked in pink on the map supplied on your arrival email, with two signs for The Barn on the fence.
The entrance to your property is accessed by steps down to the front door at the front right of this parking area.
From Machynlleth:
Head north out of Machynlleth on the A487 heading towards the A493 towards Bryncrug/ Tywyn. Continue on the A493 for about 11 miles.
At the end of the road turn right onto the B4405. Continue for half a mile until you see the sign for Geufron Farm on your right, head up the private drive for about ¼ mile passing The Cowshed and The Granary along the way. Continue to the large turning area in front of the long-legged barn. Your designated parking spaces are marked in pink on the map supplied on your arrival email, with two signs for The Barn on the fence.
