Y-Ddol, a luxury two bedroom holiday cottage with hot tub and sea views is a beautiful, modern barn conversion set in-between Harlech and Barmouth making it perfectly located for exploring Eryri (Snowdonia). Slate floors and minimalist interior give this holiday cottage an ultra modern feel and the floor to ceiling windows with sea views give it that unique and very special point of difference.

As you come into the open-plan kitchen, diner and sitting room, the vaulted ceilings and chic furniture give a real sense of space. The underfloor heating and log burner provide warmth, and add to the inviting and cosy feel of the cottage. To the far right is the sitting room area where you’ll find the all important sea views along with the log burner, comfortable sofas and large TV. The oversized lampshades and over hanging lamps are a really great touch as are the splashes of colour from the beautiful vases and soft furnishings.

The warm slate tiles continue through into the kitchen dining area and are beautifully complimented by high gloss white kitchen units. A central island adds character as does the wooden lighting beam above it. The dining table and chairs are all in keeping with the rest of the room with their modern minimalistic design.

From the kitchen, we continue through to the bedroom area. A double and a twin; both beautifully finished and the backlit headboards would not look out of place in a swish boutique hotel. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and continues with the slate grey theme of the rest of the house.

Outside is just as beautiful as inside! The wood burning hot tub is a fantastic feature and looks out onto the fields and the sea beyond. A spacious patio area with barbecue and seating will certainly be a place you locate to during the warm summer evenings and the hot tub will be used throughout the year; even in those colder winter months!

Dyffryn Ardudwy is a great village set in between Barmouth and Harlech. There is a couple of convenience stores where you can get all your groceries; one of which is an award winning butchers.

15 mins to the south will bring you to Barmouth, a fantastic quintessential seaside town with a great mix of cafes and restaurants on the harbour and is great for a bit of retail therapy. A blue flag beach is great for swimming and days on the beach and the funfair is a great part of the traditional ‘Great British summer’ offering.

20 mins to the north will bring you to Porthmadog with the famous Portmeirion Village on the way. Access to the more traditional Snowdonia villages and the Llyn Peninsula are not far where you can enjoy a whole host of activities from climbing, canyoning, Zip World adventures or exploring the varied and beautiful landscape and history.

Key safe code 2017

Hot Tub
The wood burning hot tub is very much a "hands on experience" as it isn't the electric instant switch-on kind. On arrival, you will need to fill the hot tub with fresh water, then light the wood burner and wait for it to heat up. You do have to make sure you make a roaring fire and during the colder winter months, this needs to be done a few hours ahead of using of the hot tub.
You'll be supplied with a starter bundle of logs, kindling, matches, firelighters and newspaper to start you off. More logs will be needed and can be purchased from the owner or you're welcome to bring your own. Enjoy!
