Tycwch Pedrog is a beautiful boathouse cottage in Llanbedrog on the Pen Llyn. The accommodation has a large beachfront terrace and sleeps 6.

Sitting right at the water’s edge on a quiet headland cloaked by woodland and heath, this stunning holiday apartment offers an idyllic escape from the busy noise of life.

Tune your ear to an altogether more relaxing beat: the gentle lapping of waves, calls of curlews and oystercatchers, bird song and a light murmuring breeze. The sea air is salty and sweet. Your nestled-in-headland location makes this a lovely sheltered spot.

The accommodation is all about the light, location and big sea views. Your proximity to the beach and high-tide waves could almost make you believe you’ve just moored alongside for some shore leave. You are in touching distance of the sand.

Photographers, artists – anyone with an appreciative eye for beauty, depth and space will love the magnificent views: a golden bay with woodland backdrop and colourful beach huts curves away to Snowdonia’s hills and peaks. It is a location that lends itself nicely to a sketchbook. Or its modern day insta equivalent.

The accommodation has been designed to make the most of the stunning panoramas. Every room (except for the bathrooms) looks out over the beach. In the case of the two larger bedrooms and living area, this is via full height circle-head windows. The light and sense of space is wonderfully uplifting.

The main living area is open plan with a good size and well-equipped glossy kitchen area, a dining table for six, and a comfortable sitting area with leather sofa, easy chairs and wall-mounted TV. There are doors onto the 100ft beach terrace, which offers a covered dining area directly over the beach or – at high tide – the waves. There is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the space.

The spacious bedrooms accommodate up to six guests in a master double with shower en-suite, a standard double and a twin. A family bathroom offers a shower and a bath. Everything is brand new. The whole space is neat, bright and beautifully appointed.

This is a fab holiday cottage in Llanbedrog on the Pen Llyn. It is easy-living, sociable accommodation with plenty of room for a family or group of friends. There is wood flooring and underfloor heating throughout. Younger guests will be reassured by the promise of a good WiFi connection and Netflix.

If you are visiting with a larger group, there are two adjacent properties also available for holiday rental, accommodating a further 6 + 4 guests.

The cottage sits on the edge of the Llanbedrog headland, on the south side of the Pen Llyn. It looks out across Cardigan Bay towards Snowdonia’s mighty peaks.

This is a quiet and peaceful beachside location, but only a short distance from some of the Llyn’s most popular seaside villages, including Abersoch, Aberdaron and Pwllheli. You’ll find plenty to see and do in any of these lovely places, including plenty of options for eating out. Abersoch and Pwllheli are well-known for their watersports, including surfing to SUPing and body boarding. Pwllheli has an excellent marina.

Llanbedrog beach is golden, sandy and relatively shallow and sheltered. It is much loved for its colourful beach huts. The location is within touching distance of the Wales Coastal Path – follow it up and over the headland to Abersoch, and on your way check out the impressive Tin Man sculpture. The views from the top of the headland are spectacular, taking in Eryri's (Snowdonia’s) peaks, Cardigan Bay and St Tudwal’s Islands.

Back at the house, you’re just a short walk from the Oriel Plas Glyn-Y-Weddw gallery, a wonderful showcase for Welsh art, music and theatre. It’s well-worth checking out what’s going on whilst you’re around. And if you fancy eating out, the friendly, family-run Aqua beach bar and restaurant is just a stone’s throw down the lane.
