Cosy stone cottage near the sea in North Wales with real fire, stylish interiors, enclosed garden, and modern kitchen just a short walk from the beach. The main bedroom is on a mezzanine and not fully private from bedroom 2, making it best suited for families or close friends. Some low beams and doorways reflect the property's age and character. Let’s be honest - if you’ve ever dreamed of escaping to a stone cottage in a sleepy Welsh village by the sea, this is that cottage. Tucked just a few hundred yards from the beach, Dyserth is a charming two-bedroom hideaway that blends period character with modern style - and it pulls it off beautifully.

Step through the traditional white front door and into the heart of the home: a welcoming open-plan living and dining area. Think exposed beams, stone walls, a glowing log burner, and space to stretch out on a stylish sofa with a book (or a G&T - you’re on holiday). The large wooden dining table is perfect for lazy breakfasts or ambitious cheese boards, and a Smart TV with Sonos soundbar brings film nights bang up to date.

The kitchen - tucked just off the main space - features sage green shaker-style units, a Belfast sink, and a full suite of modern appliances, including a dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, and even champagne flutes for those special toasts. You'll also find dishwasher tablets, tea towels, oven gloves, pots, pans and wine glasses all ready and waiting. There’s also a washing machine and drying rack - perfect after sandy days at the beach or muddy walks along the coast path.

The ground floor also houses the first shower room, complete with thermostatic shower, LED sensor mirror with de-mister, toilet, and sink - everything neat, modern, and thoughtfully styled.

Upstairs, you’ll find two double bedrooms, but here’s the detail to note: the main bedroom is on a mezzanine level, which means it opens onto the stairs and doesn’t have a door. It’s a light and lovely space with a kingsize bed, exposed beams, and a Velux window with sea views. There’s also a chest of drawers, hanging rail, bedside tables, mirror and stool. It’s ideal for couples or families who don’t mind a bit of open-plan intimacy.

The second bedroom is more enclosed, with a double bed, under-bed storage, bedside tables, and its own en-suite shower room, echoing the same high-spec finish as the main bathroom.

Outside, the cottage opens up to a beautiful enclosed garden with mature trees, a rustic picnic bench, and even a swing for the young (and young at heart). A vintage mangle repurposed as garden art adds a delightfully quirky touch. There’s private off-road parking, and - the real jewel - the beach is just a few hundred yards away. Whether you’re up for early-morning swims or sunset strolls, you won’t need the car.

This is a place for board games, sea breezes, sandy toes, and sleepy evenings by the fire. Just be sure to duck - some of the doorways are low, but that’s part of the charm. And really, when the sea’s that close, you won’t be indoors for long.

Dyserth sits in a peaceful coastal spot on the scenic Llyn Peninsula, just a short stroll from the beach. The sea is close enough to taste - with Cardigan Bay stretching out before you and the mountains of Eryri lining the horizon.

Just a few hundred yards from the door, you can join the Wales Coast Path for a mix of cliffside views, hidden coves, and open skies. The immediate area is quiet, green and blissfully unspoilt - ideal for nature lovers, walkers, or anyone in search of a digital detox.

Nearby Pwllheli is a lively harbour town with shops, cafés, and a modern marina if you fancy a boat trip or a spot of lunch overlooking the water. If you're feeling regal, Caernarfon Castle - a World Heritage Site - is an easy drive away, as are other historic towns and market villages across Gwynedd.

And of course, for the more adventurous, Eryri National Park is just down the road. Whether you’re bagging peaks like Yr Wyddfa, paddling in mountain lakes, or just enjoying the views with a flask of tea, you’re in the right place.

It’s a fantastic base for walkers, beach lovers, photographers and anyone wanting to explore the real North Wales - with peace and sea air included as standard.
