This modern four bedroom bungalow with Hot Tub in the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) is close to the adventures at Zip World, and beautiful mountain landscapes. A brand-new renovation which is immaculately presented with plenty of space, it sleeps up to eight guests.
Ideal for keen walkers, active families, or for anyone who simply wants a peaceful break away from it all, the cottage is within easy reach of the stunning landscapes of the Llanberis Pass, the Ogwen Valley and the Glyderau mountains.
There are some lovely walks to be done straight from the front door, including to the summit of Elidir Fawr, the northernmost peak in the Glyderau. The village of Deiniolen has views over Caernarfon, and on a clear day, to Holyhead Mountain on Anglesey. Occasionally, you can even see as far as the Wicklow mountains in Ireland.
In this modern four bedroom bungalow in the heart of Eryri , you’ll find a bright open plan living space with a lovely kitchen diner and sitting room. In the sitting room area, a large comfortable ‘L’ shaped sofa and easy chair are arranged around a toasty wood burning stove and smart TV. This modern four bedroom bungalow in the heart of Eryri is a walker’s delight, within easy reach of the mountain villages of Llanberis and Beddgelert, and the stunning landscapes of the Llanberis Pass, the Ogwen Valley and the Glyderau.
It is also close to the main walking tracks up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), including the Pyg Track, the Miners’ Track and the Rhyd Ddu path. Perfectly placed if you’d like to take on Wales’s highest peak during your next trip to North Wales. Pen y Pass, a popular start point for a hike up Yr Wyddfa, is around 10 miles away.
The cottage is a 20 minute drive from Caernarfon, home to Wales’s most famous mighty castle, also a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town is well worth exploring, with its walled town, cobbled streets and Georgian architecture. It’s also well worth paying the small entry fee to explore the castle, and don’t miss the Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum which is housed in two of the fortress’s towers.
You’ll find the supremely pretty Eryri (Snowdonia) mountain village of Beddgelert around 30 minutes south of modern four bedroom bungalow in the heart of Eryri. Beddgelert is a great place to potter about, and maybe even take a picnic to enjoy on the riverbank. There are some great family-friendly walks around the village, and ample opportunities for post-ramble refreshments.
If you fancy exploring off the Welsh mainland for the day, Ynys Môn / the Isle of Anglesey is just a short hop across the Menai Bridge from nearby Bangor. Around a third of the island is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasting spectacular coastal scenery and beaches served up with a stunning mountain backdrop. There are some great towns to explore too, including Menai Bridge, Beaumaris and the surfy village of Rhosneigr.
There are plenty of outdoor specialists in the area who offer activities like coasteering, kayaking, horse riding and gorge scrambling. Adventure seekers might like to take a high-speed boat trip down the Menai Strait with Rib Ride. The cottage is a 15 minute drive from the high speed thrills of Zip World at Bethesda.
If watersports are your thing, head to nearby Llyn Padarn where you can book in for paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing or supported wild swimming on what is one of the largest natural lakes in Wales. At Llyn Padarn you can also visit the stout ruins of the 13th century Dolbadarn Castle - a highly atmospheric fortress that played a key role in Welsh history.
If you enjoy a bit of nostalgia on your hols, you might enjoy a day out on one of the region’s heritage steam railways. Jump on board the gorgeous Welsh Highland Railway at Caernarfon for trips to Porthmadog, and Beddgelert. It’s a magical way to experience Eryri's beautiful landscapes.

From the A55 North Wales Expressway, exit at junction 9. Follow signs for Bangor / Caernarfon / Parc Menai. At the first roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A487 for Caernarfon. At the second roundabout, take the third exit onto the B4547 for Llanberis. After around 0.5 miles, turn left to stay on the B4547, signposted for Pentir, Deiniolen and Llanberis. After 1.7 miles, at the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A4244, signposted for Llanberis and Deinolen. After a couple of miles you will arrive at the village of Deiniolen. Continue through the village, and turn left at the end of the High Street onto a country lane signposted for Mynydd Llandegai, Tregarth and Bethesda. Your cottage is the first house on the left hand side.
