Ysgubor-Sarn is an idyllic holiday cottage on a working farm on the Pen Llyn. A perfect getaway whilst close to the nearby towns and the beach. When you first arrive, the outside of the this property is fantastic with a lovely seating area to sit and gaze out at the views. Once inside, the decor and layout is just as charming and inviting.
On entering through the front door, the open plan sitting room, kitchen and dining area are just perfect. A farm style feel with all the right soft furnishings to welcome you to a comfortable and homely stay.
Immediately in front of you as you come in is the kitchen; oak units and all the mod cons you would expect are there along with an oak kitchen table and chairs which lends itself perfectly to those family breakfasts and dinners we all dream of. Or, even better, if the weather is nice, open the front door and eat alfresco on the patio.
In the sitting room area, the two lovely brown sofa’s are super comfortable and the rugs, cushions and throws all make this an inviting space where you can certainly get your chill time in; there is a TV etc here.
There is a twin room on this floor which leads through to a downstairs bathroom with a wet room style shower, WC and washbasin. There is access to the outside with a patio door. Oak style beds and nice soft furnishings again add to the comfort of this room.
Upstairs there is a king size and triple room. The four poster bed naturally takes centre stage in the kingsize; a beautiful room. The triple room is made up of three single beds; spacious with a light and airy feel. There is also a family bathroom located on this floor which has a shower over bath, WC and washbasin.
Ysgubor-Sarn is part of 3 properties which when rented together can sleep up to 16 people. Whilst each individual cottage has its own outside space and privacy, there is a large, shared open area where you will find football goals, swings, climbing frame and a 14ft trampoline along with a gas BBQ. There is also plenty of parking.
Ysgubor-Sarn is located just outside the the small village of Sarn Meyllteyrn. This is perfectly located for exploring the southern side of the Pen Llyn where you find bigger towns like Pwllheli and the ever popular Abersoch. North of the peninsula is where you will find the hidden coves and beaches which, if in the area, you really should make the effort to explore as they really are very beautiful with turquoise waters and waterfalls running onto beaches.
Abersoch is a 15 minute drive away where you will find lots of restaurants and shops; it is a very lively town with a strong surfing culture. Pwllheli is great for shopping and the sailing marina has had a lot of investment making it again a great place to visit. Aberdaron is slightly further west with access to Bardsey Island which is a very special place to visit. Ty Coch Inn, near Nefyn is a place you might want to visit as it is known to be one of the best 10 beach bars in the world.
You also have good access to the other parts of Snowdonia where there are a plethora of adventure activities to do and places to see; Zip World, Coed Y Brenin and Portmeirion to name but a few.
