Welcome to Tonnau, a truly impressive four bedroom holiday home with stunning sea views, perched elegantly above the picturesque village of Borth-y-Gest. From the moment you arrive, the contemporary architecture and the promise of panoramic vistas set the scene for an unforgettable North Wales escape. With its striking white and grey cladding, large windows, and a generous glass-fronted balcony, Tonnau certainly makes a statement, and rightfully so.
Step inside and prepare to be enveloped by a meticulously designed interior that seamlessly blends modern luxury with a relaxed coastal vibe. The ground floor unveils an expansive open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area, bathed in natural light and, crucially, those captivating views. Your eyes will immediately be drawn to the bi-fold doors that peel back to reveal the spectacular raised patio, blurring the lines between indoor comfort and outdoor splendour. Imagine savouring your morning coffee or an evening tipple here, gazing out across the bay towards the mountains of Eryri. The living space itself is a testament to comfort and style, boasting plush seating, a contemporary fireplace – perfect for those cooler evenings when a little warmth and ambiance are required – and even a telescope for stargazing or spotting distant boats. It's the kind of room where conversations flow as freely as the sea breeze.
Adjacent to this lies the dining area, featuring a robust table beneath a beautifully crafted light fitting, offering a fantastic spot for celebratory meals or simply sharing stories of the day's adventures. The kitchen, a true chef's delight, showcases sleek dark blue cabinetry contrasted with warm wooden panelling and integrated appliances. The striking wave-themed splashback subtly reminds you of your enviable coastal position. For added convenience, a well-appointed utility room, complete with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a separate WC are tucked away on this floor, ensuring all practicalities are effortlessly handled. It's also on this middle floor you'll find the first of Tonnau's four bedrooms: a comfortable single room, ideal for a quiet retreat.
Descend to the basement, and you’ll discover a hidden gem – the snug/cinema room. This inviting space is designed for ultimate relaxation, featuring comfortable seating, a PS5 for a spot of digital escapism, and a charming wood-panelled feature wall. It's the perfect retreat for a rainy afternoon or a dedicated movie night.
As you ascend to the first floor, you'll find the remaining three bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and tranquillity. Tonnau boasts two indulgent king-size bedrooms, offering ample space and, no doubt, the best of those incredible sea views to greet you each morning. There’s also a charming twin bedroom, making Tonnau ideal for families or groups of friends. The main bathroom on this floor is a sanctuary of calm, featuring high-spec fixtures, a walk-in shower, washbasin, WC, and, for the ultimate unwind, a Japanese soaking bath, a blissful indulgence after a day of exploring. Complementing this, one of the king-size bedrooms benefits from its own en-suite shower room, also finished to a high standard with a shower, wash basin, and WC, providing an extra touch of privacy and convenience.
Outside, Tonnau continues to impress. The already mentioned raised patio is undoubtedly the star of the show, providing an unrivalled vantage point for those breathtaking sea vistas. Beyond this, a thoughtfully terraced rear garden offers another peaceful seating area, a private haven for quiet contemplation or enjoying the fresh coastal air. And for those with electric vehicles, a 7kW EV charger ensures you’re always ready for your next adventure. Parking is made easy with space for one car directly in front of the garage, and an additional car can be accommodated on the pavement outside the property. Tonnau truly is a high-spec haven, designed for memorable holidays by the sea.
