Located in a rural part of the Pen Llyn (Llyn Peninsula), Llwyn y Forwyn is a lovingly renovated barn near the Lôn Goed, perfect for small families and couples. This single storey renovation includes two bedrooms and a fabulous and private outdoor space with wood heated hot tub. For guests that enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, woodland walks and exploring the coastline, Llwyn y Forwyn is the ideal destination.
A private gravelled driveway leads to the property's front door, opening into the hallway. To the left, a bright and airy lounge shows off the barn structure with exposed wooden beams in the eaves of the building. Velux windows and a glazed door into the garden allow light to flood in to this cosy space. A pair of two seater leather sofas are positioned in an L shape around a thick rug, facing a cosy log burner installed on a slate hearth in the corner of the room. A large Smart TV is located on the wall about a gorgeous wooden side unit. Passing through the hallway, the kitchen diner is well equipped for guests self catering needs. The kitchen units are of traditional farmhouse style with a modern touch, finished in a neutral stone colour with a white granite effect worktop. A large fridge freezer with water dispenser is located in the corner of the kitchen, and there is a built in dishwasher along with oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. A four seating farmhouse dining table sits in the centre of the space, the chairs painted in pastel shades.
From the kitchen, a further corridor leads to the lovingly renovated barn near the Lôn Goed's two bedrooms. The main bedroom, a cosy double includes a wooden framed bed with rustic wooden bedside cabinets and table lamps. To the opposite end of the room, a large wardrobe and chest of drawers of the same style are situated alongside a wall mounted TV. The bedding, in neutral colours and a chequered pattern, complements the furniture nicely. The second bedroom, ideal for children, includes a set of dark wooden bunks in same style as the bedroom furniture. A chest of drawers with open shelving is located next to the bunks, along with a table lamp for subtle lighting. The bedroom windows both feature thick blinds in a Welsh blanket pattern. Completing Llwyn y Forwyn's layout is a bathroom between the lounge and kitchen. Wood strip flooring is laid to the floor and classic white wall tiles give the room a stylish feel. A bath is installed to one side with shower head over, next to a WC and basin unit with storage under.
The fabulous rural setting of this lovingly renovated barn near the Lôn Goed provides a haven of peace and tranquility for guests wishing to spend time at the property, as well as exploring the local area. Doors from both the lounge and kitchen open into a fabulous garden space including a sunny patio area with brightly coloured wooden seating, an outdoor dining set, drum barbeque and most impressively a wood heated hot tub with privacy screen. This, as well as a large lawn, creates the perfect private space for al fresco dining in the evenings, a glass of wine in the hot tub, or simply a secure space for the kids to play. If you manage to drag yourself away, there is also plenty do in this part of the Pen Llyn.
For gentle walks, the picturesque Lôn Goed passes nearby the property. A seven mile woodland walk, Lôn Goed begins at the coastal setting of Afonwen before heading inland towards Bryncir. Lôn Goed translates in English to Tree Lane, so unsurprisingly much of the route is under a canopy of trees providing shade (or shelter) from the elements. It's a lovely walk and suitable for all the family. Keen cyclists will also enjoy the area with a number of cycle lanes that start nearby, one of which heads in the direction of Caernarfon and onwards into the Ogwen Valley.
The seaside town of Criccieth is only a ten minute drive from Llwyn y Forwyn and is a great destination for a day out. With the imposing Criccieth Castle sitting at the high point of the town, there are fabulous views into Eryri (Snowdonia) and along Cardigan Bay from here. Be sure to stop into Cadwalader's for some amazing ice cream, or grab a sea front lunch at Dylan's Restaurant, located in a fabulous art deco building. Slightly further afield, Morfa Bychan beach is a long expanse of golden sand where drivers can park on the beach. It's a popular spot for all in the summer months. For amazing coastal walks, the Pen Llyn has a range of diverse landscapes, all accessed along the Wales Coast Path. The northern coast is wild and rugged with impressive cliffs and sweeping beaches, whilst the southern coast features sandy coves with gently lapping waters.

Check-in: 16:00 | Check-out: 10:00
If travelling from Criccieth, take the A497 and drive West towards Pwllheli. After a mile, pass Llanystumdwy on the right hand side. Take the next right hand turning, after about 100 meters turn left and then up the hill and an almost immediate left (lodge on the right). This takes you down a single track lane, after half a mile you go down over a stone bridge, and bear right up a sharp hill. The road veers sharply to the left and you'll then pass the entrance to Talhenbont Hall on your right. After a mile, you'll come to a junction, where you need to turn right, and in another 100 meters take a left turn (bungalow on the corner). Carry on down the lane for approx 1 mile, carry on round the bends, and we're the next property on the right hand side.

Please park in the gravelled area in front of the property.

What 3 words - overdrive.weeds.pillows

The wood burning hot tub is very much a "hands on experience" as it isn't the electric instant switch-on kind. On arrival, you will need to fill the hot tub with fresh water, then light the wood burner and wait for it to heat up. You do have to make sure you make a roaring fire and during the colder winter months, this needs to be done a few hours ahead of using of the hot tub.
