Ideally located in a quiet rural location this spacious three bedroom holiday cottage near Criccieth is the perfect location for exploring the mountains of Snowdonia to the east as well as the beaches of the Llyn peninsula to the west. Two separate lounge areas, a modern kitchen diner and three spacious bedrooms ensure there’s plenty of room for everybody to spread out in this traditional stone built property.
A quiet country lane will lead guests to the private off road parking to the rear of the house. From here we enter the house via the back door through a useful boot room and utility area with washing machine and extra sink. A modern fitted kitchen boasts a lovely beach wood worktop with inset Belfast sink. An eyeline oven and induction hob will ensure any chefs in your group will feel very happy. A similar modern dining table in the kitchen will sit six quite comfortable but a more formal dining table is also provided in the adjoining room.
Two separate lounges could really help a family holiday go that much smoother I think. The first and largest lounge has plenty of room for everybody to sit and socialise together and enjoy the large flat screen TV perhaps. But the second cosier lounge with log fire is a nice retreat for anyone wanting to read a book and enjoy a glass of wine perhaps.
Between these two rooms a central hallway houses a small ground floor wc as well as an impressive stairway leading us to the first floor bedrooms. The first master bedroom is very spacious with a king sized double bed, lots of fitted wardrobes and a small en-suite wc. The second double bedroom is smaller but has a lovely view over the private garden. The third bedroom accommodates two single beds and again, plenty of storage and pleasing décor.
The family bathroom at the top of the stairs houses a large bath as well as a separate shower cubicle with lots of hot water provided by the large oil fuelled combi-boiler.
Located in a very quite rural position half way between the popular seaside town of Criccieth and the harbour town of Pwllheli, the cottage boasts a large mature and private garden to the front of the house with plenty of parking to the rear.
As suggested a 15 minute drive to the west will bring to the mountains of Snowdonia. Cwm Pennant and a climb up the Nantlle Ridge is one of the hidden gems of the National Park and is easily reached from the cottage. Walkers might also enjoy the newly established Welsh Coastal Path. The sections near this cottage must be among the most picturesque of this 870 mile long uninterrupted route along the welsh coastline.
The seaside town of Criccieth nearby is also the home of the famous Cadwaladers ice cream. The perfect compliment to a walk along the beach or a tour of the historic Criccieth castle.
The harbour town of Pwllheli is a little further along to the west. Lots of small shops, pubs and restaurants here. A little further again brings you to the very fashionable village of Abersoch which is very popular with during the summer months. Although guests staying in Dulwyn should also consider exploring the quieter hidden sea coves along the northern edge of the peninsula.
Lots of activities in the area. Traditional pastimes such as golf, horse-riding and steam train trips. Family days out at the nearby Dwyfor Ranch Pet Farm or Glasfryn Park adventure centre. And also more breath taking attractions such as zip line rides and mountain biking.
