Set high on a hillside with nothing but sea views and grazing sheep for company, 1-Bryn-Tirion is a quaint and traditional coast cottage (sleeps 4) that’s full of character and ideal for those looking to truly unwind. Semi-detached and sharing a wall with a second holiday let (owned by the same friendly folk), it’s the perfect blend of privacy and potential for a group getaway.
This charming stone cottage delivers classic coastal character from the get-go: whitewashed walls, slate roof, and a front garden where wildflowers sway in the breeze. Step inside and you're greeted by exposed stonework, cosy panelling and a wood-burning stove that practically demands a cup of tea and a good book.
The open-plan living space includes a small but well-equipped kitchen (oven, hob, fridge, microwave, toaster), a dining table for four, and a comfy sitting area to flop into after a day exploring the coast.
Downstairs you’ll find a cleverly designed bunk-style bedroom, with a double bed on the bottom and a single on top – great for kids or friends who don’t mind sharing. There’s also a modern bathroom with a shower over the bath, a raised toilet, and bath board for those needing accessible features.
Upstairs, via a sturdy wooden ladder, is the real surprise: a spacious super-king-size bedroom, which can be made up as a twin if preferred. With its own seating area, TV, sloped ceilings and ensuite WC and basin, it feels like a little retreat within a retreat.
Outside, the garden is not enclosed, so if you’re bringing a dog, you’ll need to keep them close (and maybe on a lead) – but the setting is so tranquil, you’ll likely find them lying belly-up in the sun anyway. The views are absolutely knockout, stretching all the way to the sea, and there’s no better spot to watch the light change across the hills.
Whether you're coming as a couple, family or a double cottage crew, this quaint and traditional coast cottage (sleeps 4!) is a peaceful base for exploring the best of the Llyn Peninsula.
1-Bryn-Tirion enjoys a wonderfully peaceful setting on a hillside overlooking Cardigan Bay, surrounded by rolling farmland and wide-open skies. Though semi-detached, the neighbouring holiday cottage shares the same laid-back feel and is under the same ownership – ideal if you're holidaying with friends or family and want to book both cottages together.
From the front garden, you’ll see the sea glittering in the distance and hills stretching away in every direction. Despite the quiet location, you’re only a short drive from some of the peninsula’s best-loved spots. The beautiful sandy cove of Porth Ysgo is under two miles away, while surfers and beach walkers will love the long sweeping bay at Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth), just a little further in the opposite direction.
Walkers will be pleased to know that the Wales Coast Path is within easy reach, offering spectacular clifftop strolls and hidden coves to discover. You’re also just minutes from Plas yn Rhiw, a National Trust gem with a historic manor house, gardens, and a cracking little tea room. And if you’re feeling truly adventurous, the end of the peninsula is your gateway to Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) – steeped in myth and home to all manner of seabirds and seals.
The garden at 1-Bryn-Tirion is open and naturally landscaped, with stone walls and simple seating to enjoy the view – perfect for a quiet morning coffee or sunset glass of wine. The lack of light pollution also makes it a brilliant spot for stargazing. Local shops and amenities are just a short drive away, but once you’ve arrived and settled in, we reckon you won’t be in any hurry to leave.
