Right from the doorstep, you can enjoy scenic walking and cycling trails, winding through the valley’s rolling fields and woodlands.

With its stunning scenery, unbeatable location, and homely comforts, The-Byre is the ultimate countryside retreat in the Conwy Valley.

Google Map Directions

From the North -

Leave the North Wales Expressway (A55) at junction 19 and head south towards Betws y Coed on the A470.

Travel through Glan Conwy continuing south passing the signs for Bodnant Gardens. A little further on you will pass the Welsh Food Centre at Bodnant which will be on your left. Keep going and approximately a quarter of a mile further on you will see the sign to turn right at the Tal y Cafn public house onto the B5279, take this turning to the right.

Travel over the bridge and continue along the road until you reach a T-junction in Tyn y Groes. At this T-junction turn left and head towards Trefriw on the B5106. Continue along this road until you reach Tal y Bont where you need to turn right towards Llanbedr y Cennin, this turning is directly in front of the Bedol Public House. Continue up the hill passing The Bull Public House on your left, keep going for a further half a mile and do not turn left if your sat nav tells you to.

You will come to a sharp right hand bend where the road rises steeply and you have a white cottage on your left.

Shortly after this right hand bend you will see that Llwyn y Gwaew is the drive on the right immediately opposite the garage of the white cottage.

Proceed slowly down the drive and you will arrive at your destination at the bottom of the drive. The Granary is the first cottage on your left and the parking space is immediately adjacent to the side of the property in front of a field gate.

From the South -

After leaving Llanwrst heading north on the A 470 you will pass Maenan Abbey which is approximately half way to the Tal y Cafn Public House where you will want to turn left onto the B5279.

After making this turn, please refer to the Directions from the North which provide you with the directions you require from this point.
