Stabal-Ednyfed is a luxury holiday cottage with sea views in Criccieth, North Wales. The cottage has an enormous kitchen, a beautiful lounge and three spacious bedrooms. When you add the location and panoramic views to the mix, the cottage really is the perfect holiday getaway.
There’s an immediate wow factor as you step into the kitchen. An enormous space with high vaulted ceilings and big French doors looking down across the fields towards the sea. Sleek kitchen units sit atop slate floor tiles gently warmed by the under floor heating system whilst a central island with granite work top provides plenty of space for the family to gather at meal times.
The lounge next door is equally spacious but with a softer more relaxed décor. The under floor heating is complimented by a welcoming log burner sitting within a stone inglenook. Plush sofas and soft furnishings sit along side a traditional welsh antique furniture and tasteful pictures and ornaments.
One of the three bedrooms is on the ground floor. The super king sized bed can be made up as a double or twin. The adjoining wet room has a large corner bath as well as the open shower. This ground floor layout will naturally work very well for any family members with mobility problems so give grandma and granddad first pick! ;)
Two more bedrooms upstairs. One double room and one twin room. Both as perfect as the first. Lovely bedding, exposed oak beams and some really nice decorative touches. These two rooms share a second central bathroom with wc, washbasin and large shower.
This luxury holiday cottage with sea views in Criccieth is that perfect mix of quiet isolation but still just about walking distance to the pub and restaurant. A big patio to the front of the house looks over fields of grazing sheep that roll down to the seaside village of Criccieth just over half a mile away. The patio itself is of course, a perfect venue for alfresco dining or that quiet late evening drink as the sun sets into the sea, but a gentle stroll down into the village provides a really nice choice of restaurants and pubs if you wanted to mingle with the locals and fellow holiday makers.
There are a few shops in the village, Idris Café with its freshly baked bread and cakes is a favourite of mine, but if you want a bit more choice a quick 10 minute drive to the East or West along the coast road will bring you to the larger harbour towns of Porthmadog and Pwllheli respectively. Both have a supermarket as well as the usual mix of shops, pubs and more restaurants.
If you get bored of the beach there’s lots to do in the area. Animal pet farm, go carting and more are also nearby. Guests should book ahead for larger attractions such as the Zip Wire in Bethesda.

From the East (Porthmadog) take the A497 direction Pwllheli for 4.5 miles. As you approach the centre of Criccieth turn right opposite the Prince of Wales pub onto Lon Ednyfed. Continue up the hill past the Memorial Hall on your left, continue as road veers to the right past the church. Continue for 0.7 miles. At the cemetery, the public road merges with a private drive. Stabal-Ednyfed is the second property on your right along this road.
From the North (Caernarfon) we suggest guests take the A487 into Porthmadog and follow the directions above from there. This is preferred to the slightly more direct but more complicated route sometimes suggested by satellite navigation systems.
